About Me

Originally from Sudbury Ontario, but for the last 8 years jumped from London, Ontario to France, England, Dominican Republic, and back to france again before finally settling down in Whistler.

I have a great career, great friends (that i wish were close by) and my backyard is an adventure waiting to happen.  I love snowboarding, mountain biking, and hiking, canoeing, and pretty much anything that involves hanging outdoors and ending hte day with a cold beer.  Or vodka cranberry. Or whiskey.

I am a firm believe that good things happen to good people, that if you stay positive and believe in your dreams anything can happen, and that being happy is a requirement for whatever else you hope to accomplish in your life.

We could learn a lot from crayons.
Some are sharp, some are pretty and some are dull,
Some have weird names, and all are different colors,
But they all have to live in the same box.

Words of Wisdom

Tout le monde savait que c’était impossible. Il est venu un imbécile qui ne le savait pas qui la fait.

Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, Champagne in one hand, strawberries in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO HOO - what a ride!

We must be willing to get rid of the life we've planned so as to have the life that is waiting for us.

And if you're stopping by, you better leave me a comment or I WILL HUNT YOU DOWN!!! haha

My Journal: Sunday, March 16, 2008
So, i found out this week that I have a full time teaching job for the end of April until June, so I decided that I am finally going to buy a bike.  But I know nothing about bikes! If anyone has any ideas for me, please let me know! here's what i'm looking for:

-a XC bike (i may do some downhill this summer, but probably not enough to actually buy a downhill bike..yet!  i'll just rent the couple time I do go)
-something light that I can commute to work with when i'm not riding the trails
-i'm thinking dual suspension?
-i'm 5'8 and about 170lbs... so what size should I go for??
-I want somethign easy to maintain... something I can learn to fix by myself

once i have a bike.. what other gear/tools should I be sur eto ahve for repairs, etc?
-i know I need a helmet
-pump for tires
-one of those nifty thingys that tightens your spokes! haha
anything else???? any recomendations about what and where to get them (I'm in whistler, but not against road tripping to the city)

hum.... i think that about does it.... thanks in advance for your help!!

Hey!
I did the race!! I did pretty good too!!!! It was my first downhill race ever, and I placed 8th! I would have placed 6th but I friggin' crashed (I was going a little too fast around a berm) haha. There were also 5 pro riders in the race, so with those odds, I think I did pretty f*cking awesome ;)
Miss u too! oxoxo
ps. the weather is raining and then trys to be suny, but the rain takes over again.. i need sun and warmth!!!

I was trying to go to the cats and the mtb colonies a lot, but there wasn't a lot happening yet, so I got out of checking every day.

Right now I'm just waiting for my leg to unbreak, and trying to kick a stubborn cold.  What're you up to?

It itches down there...

Thanks!  I was wondering what you were talking about, 'cause I saw someone else on the sb.com rider of the day page.  Then I realized you left the comment on mtb.colonies.com, and it all made sense.  I wouldn't have even known I was rider of the day if you hadn't told me.

Oh man, you're having a hell of a time with that camp eh?
I am always hungry eh? Maybe it's jsue because you always see me at hungry times.. like dinner and stuff. ha! It could also be that all I eat is veggies, fruit and rice.. so it doesn't really fill me up very much. Also, candy @ 8:45am doesn't do the trick either. I have already eaten yogurt, an apple, rice crackers, and sweedish fish candy's! Grossness!!! I cant' seem to fill myself. I guess it's because I bike everyday? I have no idea. Maybe I have a parasite hahaha
Hope work is going alright.
