What does everyone else think of the Shimano Saint stuff?

I'm running mostly saint components on my hardtail, but I'm happy in the fact that I would feel comfortable moving them over to a big bike if I needed too. I LOVE the brakes, as they stop me no problem (and I'm not light), and are relatively easy to service.

Cranks have been good too, as it's been 4 months and I haven't heard a squeek out of them (normally cranks and bottom brackets and I don't get along).

a few of my mates run saint cranks, but otherwise we all seem to run sram/avid/hope stuff, over here saint is quite expensive, even even for me who can get it at trade plus tax, but then quality costs.

I'm kinda with Rob, on that; I run SRAM, & Avid parts on my bike, as well as Truvativ. I'm not a big fan of Shimano, especially when the XT STI shifters came out; wtf were they thinking???!!! Gimme SRAM Impulse shifters, any day; they feel so more natural to use!!!
What's a nice girl like you, doing in a dirty mind like mine...?

I hate shimano Too: specially the shifters (have serious problems with them), Race Face is the only bottom bracket I trust, the hollowtec... well I cannot trust in a hollow thing. For the Brakes... Just Avid simply the best brakes, the Code for example.

I used to be a shimano fanboy (it was gripshit, lol) but the sram stuff is just so nice and uber sexy, that Ive fell head over heels in love with it.  Avid brakes are the sex too, even if my mechanic doesnt agree.

Joe, if your saint parts have minimal wear on them and are still reasonably new transfer them over to the big bike.  If you want to try other brakes besides the saints, look at the Avid Codes, or Magura Gustvas for train stopping power even for big guys.
I heart ski companies

I have saint cranks on my rig and I love them, lighter than usual cranks and just as strong. The only other option I would consider would be diabolus cranks. as for derailleur I like sram stuff, I have an x.9
this is my signature, enjoy it.
