Wow its been a long time since I have posted here.

In Calgary we get these crazy weather swings called Chinook's. the temperature can swing from -20 to +10 in a couple hours. There is a long one going now. Its been a week of warm weather. So today I got one the bike and went out for a ride. Felt awesome!!.  Although in a couple days it'll be winter again. Oh well it'll be summer soon enough.

Next thing. having a little trouble with our website. Everything works, pictures, store ect.. just can't update our home page (working on it) But I am sure we'll be back in order soon enough.

Just got home from the shop, here is a pick from the latest frame build. A custom 24" specific street/park frame for a local Calgary rider. This is only the rear triangle. I'll start putting the front on later this week. I like to see all the welds, and burn marks. So this frame will only get a clear coat to protect it from rusting. RAW finish is my favorite.

Well time to go pack up. snowboarding tomorrow!

later

Dave

BMX

Manufacturers: Thursday, November 22, 2007
So I have been out riding the Millennium Skate park quite a bit, most of the time on an UBW ST. But I have been playing around on a BMX as well, and must say I really like it! Its almost embarrassing to say but I have never really ridden the park on one until a few weeks ago. I have been more of a trail and DH guy for 12 years or so, I'll never stop doing that. At least as long as I can walk. But the BMX is handy easy to pop out of the truck and take a quick run through the park on my way home from work.

Just one more reason why I love riding bikes!

On another note, just got a fresh load of 4130 in. So we are starting a run of 2008 frames. We still have a few 2007's left. Check our site for awesome deals on BMXST and RONIN frames.

Cheers!

Just playing on a UBW BMX at the park in Calgary. Had fun, too bad the camera battery did not last as long as we did. This was all the video i got. Oh well, guess we'll have to go back and ride again!

heeeey everyone guess what things are going to speed up around whistler next year.  you think it's already hectic with the record breaking visitors and pre-Olympic hype?  well rumour has it that the hill is only going to get faster.  if you're not already feeling it then imagine the park as some virtual reality video game. that's right.  like as in if you think you're fast, be prepared for some newcomers who will be coming up behind you like stealth bombers.  zoom boom.

the last two weeks in the Whistler Bike Park are why people just can't seem to leave this place.  after a summer of drizzling rain, sporadic sunshine and cool temperatures, we're finally seeing the conditions that make whistler the destination of a lifetime.  hot sun matched with blue skies and zero clouds have become the day to day weather routine allowing the trails to dry out and giving us reason to ride hard right up until the end of the season which is going to fall on October 8th this year.

the September surprise has been the work done on B-line. trail crew added burms making it a racey course complete with table tops.  the new JOYride bridges are pretty sick - really challenging and STEEP.  up the Garbo lift, the right corner after the rock roll on original sin (before the big step up) could use a little work as the ride out is uneven and hard to predict - some people have been hurt.  unfortunately closures are still causing detours on Freight Train but a recent rumour is that No Joke will be back and in effect next season.

only 23 more days left - get it while you can.

WOW its been a while since I have updated this. lots going on. This post below is copied over from my website.

Well another month slipped by, and still very few ride shots, we none worth posting. The past month we have been riding all over Alberta, Fernie, Panorama, Kickinghorse, Mount 7, various spots in Banff. It’s been a great summer of riding!
Still lots of riding time left though! I guess we`ll just have to go out with the camera and force a day of picks. LOL

Now that the days are getting shorter, its time to buckle down and build more frames! We will soon be starting production on our newly designed 2008 Ronin and ST frames. Same great geometry, with a redesigned rear triangle. I put some weld shots up on our company site, but they are already up on here in my gallery.

Next on the to do, we need to make room for new stock, so we will be selling off our remaining St`s, BMX, and Roni`s at blowout prices. I`ll post some frame picks and prices as soon as I can.

hey all

this disturbing thing is happening and has been ever since i was introduced to this site where people are signing up as members to this online community who DON'T MOUNTAIN BIKE.  no reference of bikes in their interests or even anything remotely close.  so what the hell.

so can the guilty parties please either go somewhere else or get on a bike any bike to see what it's all about.

i don't care if you have to use the rusted piece of s**t in the garage that no one has touched for ten years.  pull it out, get on it, ride it down the driveway then go back to your profile and tell us that you've been on a bike.

i realize mountain biking is a pricey sport but if you really want it you can make it happen. it's going to teach you to do things you didn't know were possible or that you were even capable of.  it's going to make you smarter.  it's going to introduce you to some amazing people.  you're going to find your best friends.  so cmon people as there are those of us out here who live and breathe riding trails so at least try. and please take your online bar star pick up acts somewhere else.

peace.

Day 2
You've seen the race results of the Garbanzo DH....the event made even more memorable by the bear who ate a race marshall's lunch and the guy who stationed himself before the GLC drop to moon all the riders going by until an announcement went over the PA system asking him to stop...

June 8th

Hello All,

Wow what a week!!!! Last week we had temperatures up to +30 and this week we had rain and snow, I could have taken my kayak down Rock Star (just kidding) we actually really needed the rain and I have never seen the trails in such good shape...EVER!!!! Everything is now buffed from hub 1 down and it is only the top of the upper trails that actually have snow on them. The new World Cup pump track section at the bottom is now complete it is....CRAZY, I had the opportunity to ride some of it on the weekend and I was quickly humbled....it is so much fun but super tech!!!!

This week we have started a new section of Dags Downhill, the idea with this is to separate Dags and World Cup so they are 2 entirely different trails instead of merging after the step up the way they always have. This trail is mainly hand built and we are trying to keep the same flair as the upper part only a little less rocky. This concept will come into play with holding races/events as it will allow us to use Dags and leave every other trail on the resort open without any interruptions. This new section has an in-ground berm on it that we call the G-Ride.....it is massive!!! It was not finished at the time of this report so sorry no pictures until next week.

The other big news of the week is lower pipe dream (all the pictures are from this section, except the hip that we did a re&re on from last year) I can guarantee you one thing......you have never seen berms and hits like this at any other resort, we actually have one that looks like an in-ground swimming pool!!!!! OFF THE HOOK!!!! We had a young buck step up to the plate this year as a operator for Lowes Hoes....he is a rider and has an eye for the fun stuff if you know what I mean....he is absolutely killing it!!! I wont promise 100% but we are doing everything we can to ensure this trail is open for June 23. That is all for now, have a great weekend.... only 15 more sleep then.......MAYHEM!!!!!

Cheers Rick and Cam
